Even though lately MTV is less about music and more about teenage crap falling in love or whatever, there is still one reason I keep watching it. They still give designers and artists a chance to create original and outstanding idents.

For a few months now, MTV has been showing these awesome MTV Shorts. There are 15 of them, and they are all created by leading production agencies. I included 3 of my favourite videos. You can watch the rest of them on the website of MTV, or on Vimeo here and here.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I watched I Am Legend yesterday evening. I wouldn’t give it more than a 7, okay maybe a 7.5, but it felt more than just another this is the end of world story.

You should probably check out the Awakening comics too. They are quite good. And you can download them for free as PDF on the website. They are also featured on the DVD as animations. My personal favorite is this one: Death As A Gift.
